Ministry of Home Affairs Notifies 11 More International Ports

The Union Ministry of Home Affairs notifies 11 more international ports for entry of e-Visa holder foreigners. It includes 09 land ports and 02 airports, taking the total number of international ports for e-Visa entry to 88.

Current country coverage	The e-Visa facility is presently available to nationals of 172 countries.
Share of electronic visas	India now issues about 78% visas as electronic visas.
Sub-categories under e-Visa	e-Visa is currently available under 17 sub-categories, including mountaineering and group visas for cruise.
Exclusion from e-Visa facility	International travellers holding a Pakistani passport or of Pakistani origin must apply for a regular visa at an Indian Mission, as the e-Visa facility is not available to them.
