World Happiness Report 2026
World Happiness Report 2026, an annual global well-being assessment, is published by the Wellbeing Research Centre (University of Oxford) with Gallup and UN SDSN. It uses self-reported life evaluation (0–10) from ~100,000 respondents across ~140 countries/territories, factoring GDP per capita, life expectancy, social support, freedom, generosity and corruption perception. Concern: heavy use lowers youth well-being. Top: Finland, Iceland, Denmark, Costa Rica, Sweden; lowest: Afghanistan, Sierra Leone, Malawi, Zimbabwe. India improved from 126 (2024) to 118 (2025).
